It all began with a love story…

The story of Jey’s Jiko begins over 50 years ago when a young man, gifted his wife, Jedidah, the land that we currently sit on. Their very first home, the log cabin, was built in 1963 and continues to stand strong decades later. Everything you see at Jey’s Jiko was inspired by and named after a beautiful, kind-hearted, loving and strong woman, Jedidah (Jey).

The mantra in the Kitchen at Jey’s Jiko is ‘from farm to table’. Our chefs specialise in diverse flavours while celebrating our very own Kenyan dishes. With over 25 years professional experience in hotel and events management, our founder and manager, Maureen Asiko, curates the meal and accommodation experience with utmost care and attention. Whether traveling through for the night, or just needing a peaceful secluded place to retreat and get away from your busy life, our clean and cozy rooms are the place to stay.
